Description
Spending the weekend tucking into a brand new crime thriller? Take your pick from the books neatly presented in your Gloucester oak large bookcase. Let your literary leanings tower above your sideboards in this solid wood piece. Finished with lacquer on its organic grain pattern, it’ll suit placement against a brightly coloured wall or paired up with similarly light-wood furniture. The bookcase consists of five shelves – at 30cm each, you can place your hardbacks on there too without worrying about space. And there’s also room for a pot plant if you haven’t bought enough books to fill it yet.
Our Stylist Says
This shelf is a versatile piece that easily blends into both traditional and contemporary interiors thanks to its warm oak tone. I love how its sizeable height makes it perfect for displaying a mix of books, plants, and decorative objects, creating a curated yet functional look. For styling, consider grouping items by colour or size to add visual interest, and leave some open space to avoid a cluttered feel. It works well in living rooms, hallways, or even home offices, especially when paired with other natural materials like woven baskets or soft textiles. Its simple, clean design ensures it can be a lasting addition to your space, adapting seamlessly as your needs and style evolve.
