One of only 20 limited-edition prints recreating an original self portrait created using paint and collage. About the artist An established artist that began his career in the late 1990s, Lobo Velar de Irigoyen creates using a mix of abstract collage, painting and his own photography. The Buenos Aires-born artist aims to "explore the intimacy of everyday life in a state of constant discomfort" through his work.
I love this piece for its playful yet sophisticated abstract design. It works particularly well in contemporary or minimalist interiors, where the subtle colour palette and bold shapes can add visual interest without overwhelming the space. To style, consider hanging it at eye level in a living room or hallway, paired with simple furnishings to let the artwork stand out. Mixing it with other art pieces or contrasting textures like wood or metal can also elevate the overall aesthetic. Its light, neutral background makes it versatile, so it can seamlessly blend into both warm and cool-toned settings.
