Description

With a streamlined frame that blends seamlessly into its glass surface, the Giovanna glass and brass side table is a statement, design-led piece. Inspired by Art Deco, the luxe design combines straight and curved legs with a circular glass top to truly open your living space. A light and airy design with lots of presence, the tubular shape is bent around moulds to produce its soft curves and lets light flow through the design with ease. Created in the Habitat design studio by James Cottingham, it’s the perfect way to add a luxurious look into your living room.

Our Stylist Says

This glass and brass side table offers a sleek, contemporary update to any living space. I love its clean lines and transparent surface that help it blend seamlessly into various interiors, from modern to vintage-inspired schemes. It works particularly well in minimalist or luxe settings, where the brass can add warmth and a touch of glamour. Practical styling tips include pairing it with textured cushions or layered books on top to soften its metal frame, or using it beside a sofa or armchair to hold a table lamp or a small decorative object. Its clear glass top makes it versatile and easy to incorporate into a variety of colour schemes and styles, making it a functional yet stylish addition to most rooms.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
