Our Stylist Says
I love this gingham outdoor cushion for its classic, versatile pattern and fresh colour palette. It works particularly well in relaxed, casual outdoor settings like garden patios, bistros, or even outdoor lounge areas that benefit from a cosy, inviting touch. The checkered print adds a traditional charm that pairs well with natural materials such as timber, rattan, or painted furniture, making it suitable for both country-style and coastal-inspired interiors. Practical styling tips include mixing it with solid-coloured cushions to create contrast or layering it with textured throws for added comfort. Its outdoor usability means it’s a smart choice for bringing colour and pattern to your garden furniture without compromising on durability.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
