Designed by Enrico Franzolini (1997), Gilda is really elegant. Its particularity is the oversized lampshade. This floor lamp is mounted on an extendable die cast aluminium base in natural finish. The original version was in synthetic paper in the colours white or ivory, only in 2005 it was introduced the jute finishing in the colour natural jute or dyed black. An even newer version is proposed in 2007: Gilda Ornaments. The print of the decoration is available in black or beige.
I love the Gilda floor lamp for its sleek, minimalist design that adds a touch of modern elegance to any space. Its understated white finish ensures it complements a variety of interiors, from Scandinavian to contemporary styles. It works particularly well in living rooms or reading nooks where a soft, diffuse light is essential. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with neutral-toned furniture for a cohesive look, or use it as a standout piece in a monochrome setting. Practical tips include placing it beside a comfortable armchair or sofa to maximise its utility, and keeping its slender profile in mind so it doesn’t obstruct sightlines or crowd the space. Overall, it’s a versatile piece that elevates the ambiance without overpowering the room.
