Our Stylist Says

I really like this geo wave cushion in cream because of its versatility and subtle pattern, which can add texture without overwhelming a space. It works particularly well in modern and minimalist interiors, where it can soften clean lines, or in coastal and Scandinavian styles, where its light tone complements natural fibres and neutral palettes. For practical styling, consider pairing it with other cushions in muted tones or various textures for an layered look. It’s also a great option for creating a relaxed yet polished feel, making it suitable for sofas, armchairs, or even bed settings. The understated design ensures it won’t clash with more vibrant accents, giving you flexibility to adapt it to different decorating schemes.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
