The Gem lamp is an item that’s sure to win you over immediately: from the first glance, we’re attracted by the precious nature of the material and the artisanal manufacturing know-how. Due to the irregularity of its glass surface, characterised by irregular ripples and reliefs, the lamp has a unique visual impact, even when switched off, and, switched on, creates magnificent light effects. Handcrafted in Italy, the Gem Lamp is the result of superb glasswork. This completely closed sphere is blown by hand inside a mould. The glass is then frosted manually and treated with acid to obtain a superb frosted effect. This pure, graphic sphere is entirely decorated with incisions that form irregular relief patterns. The entire surface of the diffuser is punctuated by intersecting lines inspired by the propagation of a sound wave on the surface of a liquid. Highly decorative, these streaks also allow the light intensity to be filtered and modulated. The light filtered through the folds and different thicknesses of the glass produces a superb chiaroscuro effect. The lighting is vibrant, warm and subdued. The My Light function lets you control and personalise your lighting through an app that can be activated and used via Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet or your own smart device. It’s very simple to use: just activate Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet, download the free app and switch on your My. Light. Once the light is recognised by the app, you can start switching it on and off, adjust the intensity and colour temperature, and create your own scenographies. The Timer lets you automatically activate or deactivate the scenographies, even when your smartphone or tablet is switched off.
