Description

At the core of the Fawn range is the combination of beautiful natural materials and modern craftsmanship, as demonstrated by the slender oak frame inspired by the delicate profile of a baby deer. These gentle lines have a light and airy feel with the sumptuous curved detailing along each corner set complemented by a thick glass top and flexible rope shelf. The supple curves of this coffee table are exquisitely executed providing a dainty looking frame that is extremely robust and hardwearing. Not a hard edge or corner in sight, seamless joinery and a beautifully turned frame give a wonderfully soft and smooth feel. Showcasing the beautiful frame, a thick glass table top maintains the airy feel of the design while tightly woven rope provides a flexible shelf underneath. Pairing wonderfully with contemporary oak furniture, this coffee table is perfect for stylish living spaces.

Our Stylist Says

I love how the Fawn coffee table’s ash-toned oak frame and grey-tinted glass top bring both warmth and a touch of mid-century crispness to a living space. Its low profile and subtle woven shelf work beautifully in minimalist, Scandinavian or contemporary interiors, while still pairing easily with darker woods or metal-framed sofas. Styling tip: keep the top clear with just a sculptural vase or a neat stack of coffee-table books to let the glass show off the frame below. Use the woven shelf for magazines, a slim tray of candles or a folded throw - this not only adds texture but also keeps essentials within easy reach.

About Heal's

Explore from Heal's. Founded in 1810, Heal's are an iconic brand with a history of innovation, and are synonymous with timeless elegance and exceptional design.

A Rich Legacy in Furniture Design

Heal's is a well-known British furniture store with a history that spans over 200 years. It began in 1810 when John Harris Heal and his son started a business for feather products but soon moved into furniture.

By the 1900s, almost everyone in London knew Heal's for its great furniture. Interestingly, they were also among the first to sell electric lights in Britain. During World War II, their main store even helped by making parachutes for soldiers.

Influences and Design Philosophy

A significant part of Heal's story is Sir Ambrose Heal, who worked there for 60 years, from 1893 to 1953. He had a unique idea combine the beautiful designs from the Arts and Crafts Movement with affordable manufacturing.

This meant more people could buy well-designed furniture without breaking the bank. If you visit the Heal's store on Tottenham Court Road in London, you'll see a cool spiral staircase and a statue of a bronze cat, both of which show off the company's unique style.

Modern Expansion and Growth

While Heal's has a long history, they're always looking forward. In 2001, a company named Wittington Investments bought Heal's, helping it to grow and open stores in many cities, including Manchester and Leeds.

They've also started selling products online, aiming to be a modern e-commerce store with physical showrooms. Their main Tottenham Court Road store celebrated 200 years in 2018. Recently, they revamped it, making it even better for shoppers.
