From the local surroundings of Epping Forest to the coasts of Cornwall and Kent, artist Sharon Drew is captivated by nature; the sculptural twists of oak, the autumnal colours of beech and hornbeam, expansive skies, and turbulent water. Drew seeks visual metaphors for the sensation of momentum and shifting light, rather than depicting a particular place. 'In this age of instant gratification and constant distraction, it is difficult to be fully present in a place, process or moment in time.
