Description
Working in her signature layers, the artist uses four colours in a random order to slowly build depth of texture in this original acrylic painting, inspired by a patch of heather in her own garden. The memories of tall grasses, bracken and birdsong from a childhood on the Irish coast leads Laura Cramer to seek out English vineyards and woodland walks from her current home in Bristol. With an aim to 'paint freely', she works in layers with a 'childlike spontaneity'.
