Its open shelves make it easy to organise media boxes and display low-lying décor, while the closed cabinets keep cables and clutter out of sight. To style, I’d balance the dark finish with a pale rug or light wood accents, add a couple of framed prints or a minimalist planter on one end, and keep the other side clear or lined with a neat stack of coffee-table books. This approach keeps the look fresh, functional and thoughtfully edited.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
