I particularly like this marble-top coffee table for the way its slim gold base keeps a room feeling light while adding a touch of luxury. It works well in contemporary, Scandi-inspired or mid-century modern interiors, and the natural veining of the stone brings in subtle pattern without overwhelming the scheme. For styling, group a couple of large coffee-table books, add a low ceramic vase with fresh foliage and a textured tray to corral smaller objects. The open-wire base means you can leave the floor beneath clear for an uncluttered look.

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
