I’m a fan of this slim oak bookcase for its clean lines and warm, natural finish - it feels at home in Scandi-inspired, modern farmhouse or understated contemporary rooms. The soft oak tone brings in a subtle warmth without overpowering neutral or muted palettes.
For styling, alternate books with decorative items such as ceramics or small plants, keeping a mix of heights to draw the eye upwards. Use the lower cupboard to hide less photogenic bits - think baskets of cables or paperwork - and leave a little breathing space on each shelf rather than cramming it solid. A couple of art books laid flat topped with a sculptural object adds interest, while a trailing plant softens the straight edges.
