Description

A perfectly proportioned side table to pair with your sofa or armchair. Designed with two shelves made from oak veneer, it's available in a natural or more striking black finish. The antique pewter-finished metal base continues up and around the side of the table, creating the illusion of a handle, while also giving the design an industrial edge. Just create a stack of your favourite reading material and kick back for a day on the sofa. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the simplicity and versatility of this side table, making it a great addition to both contemporary and minimalist interiors. Its sleek black frame and subtle structure mean it works well alongside a variety of colour schemes and furniture styles. Practical styling tips include using it as a bedside table with a small reading lamp and a few favourite books, or placing it in a living room corner with decorative vases or plants for added visual interest. Its open design helps create a sense of space, making it suitable for smaller rooms or those looking to keep a less cluttered feel. Overall, it’s a modern piece that combines function with understated style.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
