The Gala vase 24. 5 cm takes it name from Salvador Dalí's wife Gala, who was a great source of inspiration for the artist's work. This is Jonathan Adler's way of interpreting Dali's art and transforming it into an interesting and practical object. The lips give the vase a surreal and sensual feeling. The originals of all the ceramic pieces are turned and sculpted in clay by Jonathan himself in his workshop in Soho. They are then sent to a ceramics workshop in Peru, where skilled craftsmen create the moulds that make it possible to manufacture the objects in porcelain. The piece's surrealistic look, with different body parts and facial features in focus, characterises all products in the Muse range, which is a tribute to the well-known source of artists' inspiration, their muses.
The Gala vase is a striking piece that adds contemporary flair to any space. Its unique lip-shaped design makes it a conversation starter, while the clean white finish ensures it complements a wide range of colour palettes and styles. I particularly love it in minimalist or modern interiors, where it can serve both as a standalone sculptural statement or as a vessel for simple, elegant arrangements - think single blooms or dried branches. For practical styling tips, place it on a neutral shelf or side table to highlight its distinctive form, and consider pairing it with textured or dark-toned accessories to create visual interest. Its versatile size makes it suitable for small to medium arrangements, making it an easy but impactful addition to both living rooms and bedrooms.
