I’m drawn to the green oval garden table for its clean lines and durable finish - it’s hardwearing enough for everyday outdoor meals yet smart enough for an alfresco dinner party. Its subtle tiled-effect top and slim legs suit both contemporary decks and more relaxed cottage-style terraces, making it a really versatile piece.
For styling, surround it with lightweight, woven chairs in a neutral tone to let the colour of the table pop. Dress the centre with a low planter of herbs or succulents rather than tall blooms, so conversation flows uninterrupted. In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
