Description

Sleek and smooth! The Hera 'Studio Edit' Cot Bed is a streamlined addition to the award winning Hera family. Like all the Hera range, the Studio Edit cot bed offers both style and longevity for your little one. Suitable from birth to 5 years+, it’s made from 100% natural German Beech wood, sustainably sourced from FSC-certified forests. Featuring softly curved ends (No sharp edges!) and bevelled edging on the A-frame legs, the high quality hand-finish creates a bold, contemporary statement. With a compact footprint (131x64cm), this Cot Bed is ideal for smaller spaces while still providing convertibility for up to 5 years. The cot bed grows with your child through 5 different stages: with three adjustable mattress heights (Newborn, 3 months, 6 months+) then easily converts from a cot to a Toddler Bed (2-3 years) and a First Bed (4-5 years). Mattress sold separately. Coordinates with the Studio Edit Dresser: Cute and compact! The Hera Studio Edit Dresser is a beautiful Scandi inspired storage option with a built in changing top. The gently curved ends are gentle on the eye and completely toddler safe (No sharp edges!). With stunning A-frame accents, its compact size makes it perfect for smaller spaces. 3 generous sized soft close drawers provide ample storage space for clothing, changing essentials and bedding. The dresser top has a safety lip to prevent items from rolling off and can safely be used to locate a cot top changer (sold separately).

Our Stylist Says

I love this Gaia Baby Hera Studio cot and dresser set for its sleek, minimalist design that effortlessly blends modern and Scandi-inspired aesthetics. It works particularly well in nurseries with neutral or pastel colour schemes, creating a calm and inviting space. The white finish of the cot complements a bright, airy interior, while the wooden dresser adds warmth and texture. It’s a versatile piece that can suit both contemporary and classic interiors. For styling, I recommend pairing it with soft textiles, such as textured blankets or tactile rugs, and adding playful accessories like framed prints or organisers to personalise the space. The compact, clean lines make it easy to position against a wall or as part of a layered nursery arrangement, ensuring it’s both functional and visually appealing.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
