Description

Please note, this is just an extender, not a full bed. It is designed to clip onto the Gaia Baby Hera First Bed. Extend your Gaia Baby Hera First Bed to a Junior Bed for kids up to 7 years. Made from sustainably sourced real Ash wood, the Hera Complete Sleep is beautifully designed with soft contours and smooth-flowing lines. Certified to the highest global safety standards, Gaia Baby products are sustainably sourced, ethically manufactured and made to last the test of time. All in all, simply beautiful parenting! Tested to the highest standards and fully certified to BS8509 (child bed). Extends the bed from 120cm to 160cm

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of the Hera bed extender for its clean lines and solid beech frame - it slots neatly onto your little one’s cot to become a proper junior bed. Its natural finish suits Scandi-inspired nurseries just as well as minimalist or Japandi schemes, and the low profile keeps everything at toddler height for easy access. Styling tip: keep bedding in soft neutrals or muted pastels to let the wood grain stand out, then layer a textured throw or knitted cushion for comfort. As it’s quite slim, you can tuck storage baskets underneath or flank it with a small shelf loaded with favourite bedtime reads. Add a simple wall shelf or peg rail above so you can rotate toys and prints without overcrowding the space.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
