Originally designed by Verner Panton in 1964, the chrome Fun 1ST M Floor Lamp is still crafted by his design house, Verpan, today. A truly statement design piece, this lamp showcases a canopy of mother-of-pearl discs, each carefully suspended from three chrome-plated metal hoops using stainless steel rings. Finished with a switch on its transparent cord and a chrome-plated base, this elegant floor lamp is part of the coveted Fun collection and can be paired with coordinating pendants, table and wall lights. Gifted with a unique sense of colour, shape and light, Verner Panton is renowned across the globe as one of Denmark's most influential designers. Boldly creating furniture and lighting that was completely unlike the work of his contemporaries, Panton's designs are housed in collections at New York's MoMA, Copenhagen's Danish Museum of Art and Design and the Design Museum in London.
