An armchair with a competitive spirit. Sleek lines and an incredibly lightweight form for this aluminium chair design, with attention paid to every last detail. A real featherweight, this armchair is rock solid thanks in particular to a specific and very technical assembly of the various parts. Fromme is a practical lounge chair boasting all of the technical properties of a bike seat, thanks to the shock absorbers positioned underneath the seat which add flexibility and suppleness to create optimal comfort. The slightly curved shape of the seat and inclined plane at the front further increase comfort. More inspiration from the racing bike: Its sleek and moulded lines, which are a common feature throughout the Fromme collection. The Fromme lounge chair can be stacked. On this upholstered version, the seat and back are padded and covered with a polyester fabric with a dynamic checked pattern. Each colour offers a new perspective for the minimalist design of the incredibly lightweight, robust and efficient lounge chair. An avid cyclist, Canadian designer Tom Chung used to climb Fromme Mountain, which is just outside of Vancouver, and was always fascinated by the technical performance of his bike. For his first collaboration with Petite Friture, Tom Chung wanted to reproduce the efficacy provided by his racing bike to reinvent the most common object, which nevertheless poses the biggest challenge for a designer: a chair. One year after the release of the Fromme chairs in 2020, Tom Chung and Petite Friture teamed up once again to release this extended range. This new addition to the line of avant-garde products from Petite Friture proves once again that the brand gives young designers a chance, trusting them to create key pieces for its collections.
