Inspired by the iconic park companion, the Frisbi Pendant Light offers three types of illumination, diffused, reflected and direct, in Castiglioni's signature barely-there aesthetic. Crafted from fine steel cables that hold an elegantly fine disc diffuser, composed of opal acrylic, as if suspended in mid-air, the Frisbi also features a wire mesh basket that elegantly holds the power source above the disc, allowing it to cast calming emanations into the space below. Achille Castiglioni's work challenges the mind to look again at our everyday objects; as exemplified by Frisbi, his designs astound with their optical illusion nature, blending function with fantasy.
