Description

Our Freda table lamp is a conical shaped lamp and has a textured terrazzo design that is perfect for any modern décor. The textured design works well in contrast against the smooth feel and crisp linear style of the brass accents. Topped with a white linen shade, this lamp is sure to give a soft yet practical glow to the interior.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Freda Terrazzo Table Lamp for its modern yet timeless appeal. Its combination of terrazzo and brass details makes it versatile enough to work well in both contemporary and eclectic interiors. It’s especially useful as a bedside or side table lamp, adding a touch of sophistication but also providing practical, diffused light perfect for cosy evenings. To style this lamp effectively, consider pairing it with neutral or muted tones to let the terrazzo pattern stand out, and layer it with textured accessories for a well-rounded look. Its sleek profile and luxe materials mean it can elevate both minimalist schemes and more layered, eclectic spaces with ease.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
