Description

Fred the Boston Terrier Table Lamp, Navy

Our Stylist Says

The Fred the Boston Terrier table lamp is a playful and charming piece that adds character to any room. I love how it blends fun with functionality, making it perfect for a casual living space or even a children's bedroom. Its navy velvet finish offers a rich, sophisticated vibe that can complement both modern and traditional interior schemes. To style it effectively, consider placing it on a side table or bookshelf where its quirky silhouette can shine without competing with other decor. Pairing it with neutral or navy-toned accessories will create a cohesive look, while the lamp itself adds a touch of whimsy and personality, making it a great conversational piece.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
