Complete your room with the entire Franklin collection for a coordinated look (each sold separately). The Writing Desk ships flat to your door and requires assembly upon opening. Two adults are recommended to assemble. Once assembled, the Desk measures to be 30. H x 35.5W x 18. D.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of this Franklin desk for its crisp silhouette and modest footprint - it slips easily into a small study nook or alongside a living-room wall. The matt black finish pairs neatly with uncluttered, contemporary schemes as well as more traditional or industrial interiors, where its clean lines and subtle drawer detailing add just enough character. For styling, keep the desktop simple: a slim brass lamp or a ceramic pot for pens plus a small stack of notebooks looks smart without feeling crowded. Hang a single print or pinboard above it to draw the eye upwards, and tuck a slim, upholstered chair beneath to maximise floor space. Tidy cables through the back to maintain its neat appearance.

About The Range

Founded in 1989, The Range is the fastest growing retailer in the UK with an extensive selection to cater to a variety of styles and budgets. The Range provides affordable and quality products to enhance your living space.

Humble Beginnings

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.

A Visionary Leader

Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.

Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.

More Than Just Stores

You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
