Description

Add sophistication to your lighting with the Fran Black Jacquard Shade. The intricate jacquard pattern on the fabric combined with the fringe trim adds texture and visual interest, creating an elegant focal point for your room. The black shade complements various decor styles from traditional to gothic, enhancing both form and function.

Our Stylist Says

I love this shade for its sleek, contemporary look that adds a touch of sophistication to any ceiling space. The black fabric creates a striking contrast, making it versatile enough to work well in both modern and eclectic interiors. Its easy-to-fit design makes it a practical choice for updating your decor without fuss. I recommend pairing it with brass or matte black fittings for a stylish finish, and it works particularly well in living rooms, bedrooms, or even around a dressing table where a soft, diffused light is desired. To style it effectively, keep other elements minimal and let the shade be a statement piece - layering with textured textiles or metallic accents can help elevate its overall impact.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
