Description

In collaboration with the Natural History Museum. Transport your little ones back to the Jurassic age with the Fossil Forager Runner. The fun skeletal print in a monochrome palette is an ideal design for adding a playful look to your little explorer's room. Crafted in 100% polyester, the flat surface is versatile and durable, perfect for on-the-go zones. We love using this design to add an extra element of play in little ones rooms. A scientist who specialises in the study of fossils is called a Palaeontologist. They spend a lot of time out in the field looking for and collecting fossils to study, which helps us to understand what the Earth was like in the past. Did you know that the word ‘Dinosaur’ was created by the palaeontologist and founder of the Natural History Museum, Sir Richard Owen? He was the first to realise that dinosaur fossils were different to other reptiles and he named this new group of animals ‘Dinosaurs’!. Safe for use on a heated floor. Use a suction type vacuum - rotating brushes may damage this rug. Re-roll your rug pile out for 24 hours to reduce curling. Regularly turn to ensure even wear. An anti-slip mat will help prevent slipping. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry white cloth. Do not rub. Do not place this rug near an open fire. Please do not leave children or infants unattended. Natural History Museum x Dunelm. The Fossil Forager Runner has been designed with kids in mind. We’ve come together to create some extra special designs inspired by the Museum and its enormous, astonishing and mind-blowing dinosaur and oceanic collections! We’re on a mission to celebrate the wonder of nature so every piece in this collection has been designed to utilise our resources in the best possible way, to be respectful of the natural world and help to protect its future. © The Trustees of the Natural History Museum, London 2022. Our Stylist Says

I love the Fossil Forager Monochrome Runner for adding a fun, educational touch to a child's room, especially with its engaging dinosaur print. It works particularly well in contemporary or scandi-inspired interiors, where its black and white palette can complement neutral tones and keep the space feeling fresh and modern. Practical styling tips include pairing it with simple, minimalist furniture to let the rug stand out, and layering with textured cushions or throws for added warmth. It's a versatile piece that injects personality without overwhelming the space, making it an easy way to refresh a child's bedroom or playroom.
