In record time, Form has become one of Normann Copenhagen's most popular design creations. To create Form, the designer was inspired by the design of the great iconic chairs throughout history. The development of the Form range took three years. They had to correct the angles, adjust the curves and match the colours: more than 20 prototypes with varying inclination and thickness were tested before finding exactly the right proportions and obtaining the best possible comfort. The moulded seat in recyclable polypropylene has curves designed down to the smallest detail to hug the body and provide maximum seating comfort. Form has a wide, spacious seat, to allow the body to adopt numerous positions and change them easily. As a result, you can remain comfortably seated for longer. Another important detail is the thickness of the chair, which varies throughout the seat: four millimetres thick at the top of the backrest to provide good flexibility, it thickens down towards the seat to provide stability and support. Finally, the top of the backrest ends with a small ridge so you can naturally grab the chair to pull it towards you to sit on it. The goal was to create a flexible chair, which could adapt to an infinite number of bases. The stackable version stands out for its four black steel legs, very solid, thin and elegant, all at the same time. The steel legs are welded by hand, which avoids the use of screws and corresponding holes, as well as producing an extremely durable structure. This stackable version is great for saving space. These stacking chairs can be easily stored away when not in use, transforming space while still having plenty of extra seating available.
