Description

Inspire an urban look with your outdoor lighting with the Forbes Up & Down Outdoor Wall Light. This wall light is LED integrated, meaning that it is incredibly energy efficient, and that you don't need to purchase additional bulbs for this light. It is also IP44 rated for water resistance against outdoor weather conditions, and comes in a sleek stainless steel finish for a modern aesthetic.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Forbes Up & Down outdoor wall light for its sleek, modern steel finish, which offers a contemporary edge to any exterior space. It’s versatile enough to work well in minimalist, industrial, or even modern rustic settings, adding a sophisticated yet functional touch. For styling tips, consider pairing it with other steel or metal elements for a cohesive look, or let it stand out against darker wall colours for visual impact. Its up-and-down illumination is practical for highlighting architectural features or creating warm ambient lighting, making it an excellent choice for both practical security and aesthetic appeal on front porches, patios, or garden walls.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
