The Folded shelf by Muuto was designed by Johan Van Hengel is a practical shelf made of a single sheet of metal that has been bent into shape. The shelf has a simple design with two hooks and a small “pocket”, making it the ideal shelf for the hallway to store your incoming mail, your keys and phone.

I really like this folded shelf in burnt orange for its clean lines and subtle hook detail beneath. The warm hue works especially well against soft greys or off-white walls, so it suits Scandi-inspired living rooms, mid-century studies or even an industrial kitchen where you need a dash of colour without overwhelming the space.
For styling, keep it functional: use the shelf ledge for a couple of slim books, a small pot plant and a shallow tray for mail or sunglasses. Hang mugs, keys or light scarves from the hooks to free up countertop or hall-stand space. If you’d like to add art, lean a slim frame at the back of the shelf to create depth without cluttering the wall.
