Description

Our Danta folding frames have a traditional folding design. The double aperture is framed with antique black metal, skilfully soldered around the glass. The see-through design adds to the elegance of the frame.

Our Stylist Says

I love this brushed brass frame for its versatile, timeless appeal. It works beautifully in both contemporary and vintage-inspired interiors, adding a touch of warmth and metallic shine without feeling overly ornate. Perfect for displaying small collections of pressed leaves or personal photos on a shelf or coffee table, it encourages a curated, personal feel. For styling, consider pairing it with other brass accents or natural textures like wood and greenery to create a balanced look. Its foldable design also makes it practical for changing up displays easily, making it ideal for those who love a flexible, styled vignette.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
