I’m particularly fond of what I’ll call the Focus desk in walnut - its warm veneer top and slim metal frame make it equally at home in a Scandi-inspired study or an industrial-leaning loft. The two shallow drawers keep everyday bits tucked away without adding bulk, so it feels light and uncluttered. Stylist tip: team it with a simple leather or upholstered chair, a slim desk lamp in brass or matte black, and a trailing plant to soften the metal lines. Add a narrow wall shelf above for notebooks or a print, and use slim drawer organisers to keep stationery neatly separated.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
