Description
Flyte: a levitating lamp! This astonishing and spectacular Flyte lamp will leave you speechless. The bulb floats in the air as if by magic above its wooden base, defying the laws of gravity. A levitating bulb that rotates continuously on the spot. Flyte is an object of curiosity, a scientific experiment and a work of art all at the same time, a source of light and an extraordinary experience. Your guests will not believe their eyes! It is able to levitate thanks to an innovative magnetic technology integrated into its base. The bulb is powered wirelessly, by induction. To turn the light on or off, simply touch the wooden base. Even when turned off, the bulb continues to levitate and rotate. With its beautiful filament LED bulb (supplied) and streamlined natural-wood base, Flyte combines both a stunning vintage design and cutting-edge technology. The wooden base will also serve as a wireless charging station for your smartphone. Simply place your mobile phone on the base to recharge it wirelessly (works only with telephones equipped with the Qi wireless technology). The Flyte lamp was designed by Simon Morris, a Swede passionate about the levitation phenomenon. He also wanted his futuristic light fixture to be eco-friendly, so Flyte is manufactured in Sweden using certified sustainable wood. It is equipped with a low-consumption filament LED bulb with an estimated life of 22 years (when used 6 hours a day). This Flyte lamp was named one of “The 25 Best Inventions of 2016” by Time Magazine. The Flyte lamp box includes: -1 wooden magnetic base -1 Edison filament LED bulb -1 power cable with AC adapter -1 removable cork square designed to help centre the bulb on its base.
