Description

Designed by Jasper Morrison for Flos, the Glo-Ball S2 ceiling light is a versatile and timeless pendant that will enhance any room it features in. Made of acid-etched, hand-blown opal glass that creates a warm, diffused lighting effect, it's intended to evoke the beauty of a full moon when the light is switched on. Featuring a fibreglass reinforced injection-moulded ceiling rose, its adjustable pendant cord is enhanced with a steel suspension cable.

I love this ceiling light because of its sleek, minimalist design and soft, ambient glow. It works particularly well in modern or Scandinavian-inspired interiors, where clean lines and subtle textures are key. The Glo-Ball S2's rounded form and diffused light make it ideal for creating a calming atmosphere in living rooms, bedrooms, or even open-plan kitchens. Practical styling tips include pairing it with other understated accessories and soft textiles to maximise its soothing effect. Hanging multiple units at different heights can also add visual interest in larger spaces, while keeping the overall look cohesive and contemporary.
