Description
A fusion between past and future. A hybrid style for this steel coffee table whose top is inlaid with a superb mosaic of clay tiles, a material with a warm, natural texture. These tiles are hand-crafted in Italy using centuries-old manufacturing techniques, using the finest Po clay. Very hard-wearing, they’re not afraid of water: Flod Tiles tables can be used both indoors and out. The tiles are simply laid in the steel frame without joints (they’re not sealed): this allows rainwater to flow through the perforated frame. The clay is slightly rough and coarse, with colour variations: these characteristics deliver an authentic, natural aesthetic. Imperfect shapes and irregular workmanship showcase its craftsmanship and hand-made nature. The raw appearance of the material contrasts with the modern style of the sleek black steel structure. Flod Tiles tables have the retro charm of antique furniture found in flea markets.
