Price History

Description

The Flare Silver collection reinterprets classic forms through simple, modern geometries that merge spheres and cones into elegant silhouettes. Flare Silver is our first lighting collection crafted from heat-resistant, ultra-transparent, and durable borosilicate glass, metalised in a highly reflective silver finish. The collection is shaped by hand using a series of carbon moulds for flawless sculptural consistency. Each pendant includes a generous 3.5m cord, making the collection effortlessly adaptable for single statements or striking multi-pendant clusters in both residential and large commercial spaces.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Flare Bead Pendant for its sleek, modern silhouette that adds a sophisticated touch to various interiors. It works particularly well in contemporary or minimalist spaces where its reflective glass and clean lines can be showcased without competing with other design elements. Practical styling tips include hanging it over kitchen islands, dining tables, or bedside areas to create a striking focal point. It’s also versatile enough to be paired with matte finishes or more textured materials for a balanced look. When styling, consider layering with multiple pendants for more impact or using dimmer switches to adjust ambiance effortlessly.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
