Designed by Gam. Fratesi, the Flaneur Lounge Chair reimagines the iconic English 'roll-arm' sofa, brought to life by Copenhagen-based manufacturer GUBI. Revisiting a classic design with a contemporary twist, the chair's low, generous proportions and rounded cushions reflect the designer's Italian approach to comfort, with taut upholstery and a brass base to create clean Scandinavian-influenced lines and simple functionality. Founded in 2006 by architects Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi, the award-winning Copenhagen-based design house takes its creative drive from a fusion of tradition and renewal, drawing on both designers' experiences of Danish and Italian craft traditions. Renowned for applying an experimental approach to every project, Gam Fratesi awards each design with a visible historical context and unique, fresh aesthetic.
