I’m a fan of the Fitz chair for its sleek silhouette and soft grey velvet upholstery - it adds style without shouting. Its slim black metal legs and gently curved arms make it a natural fit for modern, Scandi-inspired or minimalist schemes, but it also works well in a contemporary dining space with brass or matte black accents.
To style it, pair two or four around a pale oak or glass-top table and layer in a neutral jute rug to keep the look light. A contrasting cushion in deep navy or muted terracotta will add depth, while a simple pendant light overhead keeps attention on the chair’s streamlined form.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
