Description

The Fir Grey Ribbed Base Table Lamp is the perfect lighting element for living and bedroom spaces. Adding a subtle warm glow throughout your room when in use. This table lamp has a handy in-line switch on the cable making it easy accessible. The grey finish, adds a fresh aesthetic to your home and blends with many different décor or styling choices.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this ribbed base lamp for its modern yet subtle aesthetic. The grey tone makes it versatile enough to complement various colour schemes, from neutral palettes to more vibrant interiors. It works particularly well in contemporary or minimalist spaces, where its clean lines and understated design can stand out without overpowering the room. Practical styling tip: place it on a side table or desk to add a functional decorative touch, and pair it with other textured or matte accessories to keep the look cohesive and tactile. This lamp’s soft, diffused glow also makes it perfect for cosy, relaxed environments or as a bedside light where a warm atmosphere is desired.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
