Paying homage to Eduardo Chillida, this Figura Humana 1948 Rug from Spanish design house nanimarquina was inspired by the artist's preparatory sketches for his Peine del Viento sculptures. Celebrated for his impressive abstract works, Spanish Basque sculptor Eduardo Chillida was well known for his work on the human form. Hand knotted from New Zealand wool in natural and black hues, this artistic Figura Humana 1948 Rug will transform your living space. Founded in 1987 by Nani Marquina, the daughter of pioneering Spanish designer Rafael Marquina, nanimarquina blends contemporary designs with traditional techniques to create unique and eye-catching handcrafted rugs. nanimarquina collaborates with prestigious international designers to design unique rugs and crafts them with particular attention to selecting quality raw materials. Conscious of its societal and environmental impact, nanimarquina places ethics at the forefront of its production process. Passionate about reusing, reducing and recycling, it aims to preserve natural resources through the use of biodegradable and recycled products. It uses an eco-friendly chemical-free washing method that enriches the environment with nitrogen and uses less water than traditional cleaning methods.
