Originally designed in 1954 by Frits Henningsen by creating a small model from clay and toothpicks, the FH429 Signature Chair in oiled walnut and tan leather was reintroduced by Carl Hansen & Søn in 2015.A pure and remarkably pared-down design, the Signature Chair was cleverly designed for optimal comfort with a simple, organic form. Produced by esteemed manufacturers Carl Hansen & Søn in Denmark, the curved armrests are beautifully crafted from uniquely grained oiled walnut whilst the seat itself is upholstered in premium Sif leather. Sif is a full grain, pure aniline ox hide, crafted only from the finest pelts, which offers an inimitable suppleness with no coatings or sealants applied.
