I’m a fan of the Kona bench for its simple, modular form and warm oak finish - it feels at home in Scandi-inspired, Japandi or contemporary schemes. Its two low shelves provide discreet storage for baskets, magazines or audio kit, while the top can double as seating in an entrance hall or as a media unit in a living room.
To style it, balance a cluster of books on one side with a low plant or sculptural accessory on the other. Use woven or textile baskets in the compartments to keep smaller bits tidy, and introduce a contrasting rug or runner underneath to ground the piece. Its neutral veneer also plays well against deeper wall colours or textured wallpapers.
