Description

The Feliz natural rattan dining chair with metal legs comprises generous proportions with a simple scoop shape for a long comfortable sit.;Made from rattan that is steamed to make its stems supple before they are formed and moulded into shape, the chair is hand woven and assembled in a small family-run factory in Indonesia.;Exclusive to Habitat, the Feliz chair is designed to complement our oak and metal Feliz dining tables and bench, but works equally well as a standalone piece in the bedroom or hallway.

Our Stylist Says

I love this piece because it combines natural rattan with a sleek metal leg design, creating a balanced mix of textures that works well in both modern and bohemian interiors. Its neutral tones and organic feel make it versatile-ideal for scandi-inspired spaces or coastal themes. When styling around it, consider pairing with natural fibre rugs or soft linens to enhance the relaxed vibe. Practical tips include using it with a padded cushion for extra comfort, and its open design makes it great for smaller dining rooms or breakfast nooks, offering a light, airy aesthetic without compromising style.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
