Some materials such as wool are very fibrous and you can actually observe a piling during the first weeks of use: this is normal because the carpet "breaks up" by rejecting its excess fibres. Remove the lint as much as possible by hand and do not use the vacuum cleaner in brushing mode as this results in pulling the fibres and pulling them out. This settling will fade over time. For maintenance, we advise you to vacuum it very little the first month and then to vacuum it without rubbing too much always without using the brush.
