With its cut-out handles on the sliding doors and beautifully shaped underframe, this gorgeous media unit is practical as it is beautiful. It is crafted from solid oak and oak veneers and completed with an aged smoky finish which lends a subtle grey tone to the wood, a treatment inspired by fuming processes discovered in the 1800s, where tannins in the wood react with ammonia gas to change the colour. Finger joints on the corners of the piece, a technique found on high quality cabinetry, give strength and a sense of purpose and tradition to create long-lasting, legacy furniture that can be collected and handed down through generations.
