Description

Scandi lighting for low ceilings with the Faina Single Square Recessed Downlight. This spotlight comes in a matte black finish for a modern aesthetic and has a contemporary square design. It is also adjustable, allowing you to tilt light in any direction of your choosing.

Our Stylist Says

I love this square downlight for its sleek, minimalist look that works beautifully in modern and contemporary interiors. The matte black finish adds a sophisticated edge, making it versatile for spaces like kitchens, living rooms, or hallways where understated, functional lighting is key. Its adjustable feature allows for directional lighting, which is perfect for highlighting artwork, architectural features, or creating cosy zones. For styling tips, consider pairing it with other matte black fixtures to create a cohesive look, or combine it with warm-toned bulbs for more inviting ambience. Keep the ceiling clean and uncluttered to let its clean lines shine, and it’s equally effective in both residential and commercial settings.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
