Price History

Description

With a gorgeous dark mango wood top and antique brass legs, the Facet dining table brings vintage style into the modern day. Slim in shape and simple in design, it won’t dominate a room unless you want it to. The wood’s rich colourings complement a host of interior schemes, looking equally as stunning with glamorous velvet chairs as it does alongside contemporary leather or industrial metal options. Whatever your taste, dinnertime is destined to be a stylish affair. Combine with other pieces from the Facet range to create beautiful cohesion throughout the home.

Our Stylist Says

I love the combination of dark mango wood and brass in this dining table - it offers a sleek, contemporary look with just the right touch of warmth and luxury. It works particularly well in modern or industrial interiors, where the dark finish adds depth and the brass legs introduce subtle sophistication. Practical styling tips include pairing it with minimalist chairs in leather or fabric for a balanced contrast, or adding a textured runner and statement centrepiece to create a welcoming dining space. Its versatile design makes it suitable for both casual family meals and more formal dinner parties, making it a practical yet stylish choice.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
