Offering our own breathtaking twist on Warren Platner's 1966 icon for Knoll, the Platner Lounge Chair and corresponding Ottoman are newly dressed in Pierre Frey's Teddy Mohair upholstery with a bronze finish, only available at The Conran Shop. Complete with matching bronze framing, the honey-hued duo results from meticulously welding hundreds of curved steel rods to its circular infrastructure, accented with an inviting mohair-cotton blend for a multi-dimensional, soft edge to the effortlessly sculptural modern design staple. A star of 1960s modernism, American architect and designer Warren Platner is remembered for his innovative techniques, unique designs and cross-industry repertoire. Lending a sculptural quality to each piece he designed, Platner's work has been honoured with multiple places in the permanent collection at New York's MoMA.
