Description

We are honoured to premiere our latest collaboration with Carl Hansen & Søn: Hans J. Wegner's quintessential CH24 'Wishbone' Chair in an exclusive assortment of leather seat finishes backed by a soaped oak or oiledwalnut frame. Trading its traditional handwoven seat for a leather upgrade, our private iteration of this mid-century classic presents five unique finishes clad in low-maintenance leather. The exquisitely grained semi-aniline ox hide resists most stains and sunlight-induced fading. Designed in 1949 and informed by a portrait of Danish merchants sitting in traditional Ming chairs, the Wishbone showcases the ergonomic sensibility that defines an antique Chinese chair. Its characteristic ‘Y’-shaped detail gives the chair its name and provides outstanding support and stability, making it an ideal piece for both work and relaxation spaces.

Our Stylist Says

I love this blue leather and soaped oak wishbone chair for its timeless design and versatile colour. It’s a great statement piece that works well in both modern and traditional interiors, adding a touch of colour without overpowering the space. Its sleek shape makes it perfect for smaller dining areas, but it’s also durable enough for everyday use. When styling, consider pairing it with a neutral table and soft textiles to highlight its colour and craftsmanship. For a more eclectic look, mix it with other Scandinavian-inspired pieces or contemporary furniture to create a balanced and inviting dining zone.
