This iconic Multi-Lite Pendant in brass is a 1972 design by Louis Weisdorf, which encompasses the 'golden era' of Danish design, featuring two adaptable, characterful shades that are sure to become the focal point of any room. Crafted from brass with an inner-shade in black, the brass Multi-Lite Pendant light is suspended on a brass ring, with two rotating shades containing cylindrical shapes. Simply adjusting the shades transforms the pendant and personalises the light display to direct it upwards, downwards or even in asymmetric beams. First designed in 1972, the Multi-Lite Pendant light in black and brass showcases Weisdorf's movement away from his traditional design style to pursue a more diverse aesthetic. This highly configurable pendant light is a truly striking piece that perfectly combines classic materials with contemporary style, and would accent any space with its eye-catching design. This pendant light requires an E27 fit bulb in max. 57W halogen, max. 18W fluorescent or max. 11.5W LED retro-fit (not included). Dimmable depending on bulb. Please note: This is an ex-display piece and therefore may show signs of wear proportional with use. The utmost effort is made to accurately showcase each intricacy and imperfection, and this piece is sold as seen.
I love this pendant for its sleek, modern silhouette and striking contrast of black and brass, which makes it a versatile piece that can elevate both contemporary and eclectic interiors. It works particularly well above dining tables or in open-plan kitchens where its eye-catching design can be appreciated from all angles. When styling, consider pairing it with other brass accents or matte black finishes to create a cohesive look. Practical tips include ensuring the height is adjustable for focal impact, and pairing with dimmable bulbs to control atmosphere. Its shape lends itself to clean, minimal surroundings, but it can also add a touch of sophisticated industrial style when paired with raw materials like concrete or wood.
