Description

Named after the small Finish town of Kolho, this sculptural Dining Chair in spectrum green is designed by American artist Matthew Day Jackson for Made by Choice. Each chair is expertly crafted from plywood using advanced technology in Finland with a silhouette that embodies the space between reason and chaos. Inspired by and coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, the chair is finished with an innovative Formica laminate that reimagines the moon's surface to scale. Represented by contemporary and modern art gallery Hauser & Wirth, Matthew Day Jackson's artistry encompasses sculpture, painting, photography and so much more. Centred around the themes of the human mind, technological advancement and the American Dream, his works have been exhibited and lauded all over the world. Please note: This is an ex-display piece and therefore may show signs of wear proportional with use. The utmost effort is made to accurately showcase each intricacy and imperfection, and this piece is sold as seen.

Our Stylist Says

I love this chair for its bold spectrum green hue, making it a standout piece in any dining space. It works particularly well in modern or Scandinavian interiors where clean lines and colour accents are key. The playful, looping design of the frame adds a contemporary touch, while the plastic finish makes it durable and easy to clean - practical for busy family homes or casual dining areas. For styling tips, consider pairing it with a neutral-toned table to let the chair take centre stage, or mix with other colourful accessories for a lively, eclectic look. It’s a versatile piece that can inject personality into both minimalist and more vibrant interiors.
